Q:  Do you take walk-ins?

A:  If we have availability in our schedule, we are happy to take walk-ins! Availability can be limited though, because sometimes our schedules get full with appointments… So you’re welcome to try walking in, but appointments are always recommended.

Q: Do you sell gift certificates?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot sell gift certificates because our service providers are all independent contractors.

Q:  Do you take kids as clients?

A:  The Male Room is a mature environment where people come to relax while getting pampered. We take kids 10 and older who are able to sit still and aren’t scared or crying during their haircut. Kids who are here with a parent getting a haircut must be able to sit quietly in the waiting area. For safety reasons, children are not allowed to wander or run around the salon.

Q:  Do you take women clients?

A:  We do not discriminate based on gender (or anything else) however, the people who work here specialize in giving short, “masculine” style haircuts. We do not have an appointment option that accommodates long, layered “feminine” style hair. 

Q:  What type of payments do you accept?

A:  We accept cash and credit card payments including AMEX and Discover.

Q:  What is gray blending?

A:  Gray blending is a semi-permanent color process that’s most effective on hair with 50% or less silver. Rather than fully covering the silver hair, it tones it down so that it blends more with darker color. The result is natural looking and fades/washes out over the course of a month. Think of it as adding a little more pepper to your salt and pepper!

Q:  Do you use straight razors?

A:  Only our licensed barber, Abby, uses straight razors. The rest of us use a foil shaver that gets as close as a straight razor, aiding in clean, smooth skin on a fade or beard trim.
